Her general theme, if a common denominator can be found at all, consists in continual transformation. This can begin quite unnoticeably, working quietly against its opposite - which is repetition. And even so, repetition never means simply the return of the same. What was already there seems different the next time it is heard. The compositions on the present CD show this in many different ways. All of these works have to do with transformations which always seem to have already begun and could indeed go on endlessly, were they not constantly accompanied by a dramaturgy of gradual fading away which itself exhibits frequent, slight changes.
